Are you sleeping on creative job opportunities on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is one of the least creative social media platforms out there... Or at least that's what I used to think. Here's why you should be using the platform. (Make sure you read to the end to learn
Hey, Creatives!
I bet LinkedIn isn’t the first platform you think of when sharing your creative work.
But it could be the social media channel to connect you with new clients.
Plus you have an unfair advantage.
As creatives, we often have exciting projects to talk about.
We can approach content creation in a different way.
Put your videography skills to use and create some short-form content.
Repurpose your Instagram carousels and showcase your graphic design skills.
Create a collage about a trending topic in your industry.
Document the BTS of your latest creative project.
There are so many opportunities for creatives on LinkedIn but most people are missing out as they think the platform is too ‘corporate’.
It’s also great for networking too!
LinkedIn is where I connected with our next Confessions of Creative guest - Adam Faulkner.

Creative News - What’s In & What’s Out🗞️
We’re mixing up our weekly news updates by spilling the tea on what’s in and what’s out this week. Sometimes brands miss the mark and we’re going to share our favourite and least favourite campaigns of the week.

What’s In: Design Agency Hyperfocus rebrand a recruitment agency inspired by the Founder
Hyperfocus recently undertook the challenge of rebranding MR Recruitment, a well-established creative recruitment agency. With a successful track record under its original name, it was time to evolve. The agency's new identity, "Undiscovered," centres around a dynamic brand story that captivates at every touchpoint.
The rebrand introduces a detective character, inspired by the founder, who is known for his signature pork pie hat. This character embodies the relentless pursuit of finding the best talent and opportunities. The hat, a nod to the old logo, became a key element in the new visual identity.
Hyperfocus focused on creating a user experience that resonates with both talent and employers, making the process of recruitment engaging and memorable. The result is a bold, fun brand that’s impossible to forget.
We love this cute character, it brings what can be quite a boring business to life in a memorable way.
What’s out: Brand’s jump on the wrong news to create viral moments
Last week, social media erupted as Molly-Mae announced her split from Tommy Fury. The news quickly spread, with thousands of commentators weighing in. However, the situation took a darker turn when brands like Domino’s and Ryanair began using the breakup as a marketing opportunity.
This sparked widespread backlash, highlighting the ethical boundaries of social media marketing. Critics argue that leveraging someone's personal life, especially during a time of heartbreak, for self-promotion is a misguided strategy. Brands must reconsider their approach when they see a family's distress as a chance for engagement.
The incident serves as a reminder that creative marketing should respect personal boundaries and not treat a private moment as a viral opportunity.
Do you agree?
I’d love it if you could share this newsletter with your creative friends so they can get the inside scoop on the creative industries.
