Got a goal you want to achieve before 2025? 🎯
This is your sign to use the final 2 months of November to start building your personal brand.
Hey, Creative!
It’s officially November, the festive season is creeping up on us and it’s time to check those last few goals off your list before 2025.
Is it just me or does this time of year give you a little boost of motivation to work on your goals (or maybe it’s just the time pressure 😂)
That’s one of the reasons why I am so excited to be hosting my first in-person event for Studio Self-Made this evening.
I can’t wait to see some of you there!
It’s been on my goals list all year and I knew I couldn’t complete 2024 without organising a relaxed networking event for creatives to connect.
There is still time to grab a ticket, but be quick!
P.S. If you can’t make it to the event this evening, I’m thinking about hosting an online version of the personal branding workshop. Make sure to like this episode to let me know whether you’d be interested in joining the free workshop.
I can’t believe this happened! 🤭
Last week I was invited to the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Virgin Unite, where I got to meet Richard Branson!
As you’re part of my inner circle, I wanted to share this career & business highlight.
It was such a surreal experience and one I never would have imagined I would have had when I started Studio Self-Made 2 years ago!
Virgin and Big Change have been huge supporters of Studio Self-Made and have allowed me to help so many creatives like you through our free and subsidised programmes.
Here’s to more amazing experiences like this!

What’s In: Homemade Christmas Film gets global release
Hitting major streaming platforms on November 15, Steal The Naughty List is a full-length animated movie featuring the voice of Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo. Though it sounds like a Hollywood blockbuster, this film was created by a homeschooling family in Mississippi! Aerospace engineer Nathan VonMinden transformed the upper floor of their home into a professional animation studio, working with his wife Meleice and their teenage kids to bring this project to life.
An inspiring testament to DIY creativity, this is one indie production you won’t want to miss! We love the handmade feel of this film and the creativity that went into making it.
What’s out: Netflix is saying goodbye to games
Netflix is set to remove nearly all of its interactive shows and films on December 1, leaving only four titles: Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend, Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls, and You vs. Wild, the company confirmed to The Verge.
This decision marks the end of Netflix’s early foray into interactive content—a unique experiment that offered viewers a role in shaping storylines but will soon be largely phased out.
Will this open up opportunities for other companies to step into this space or do you think Netflix is planning to take a new approach to games?
I’d love it if you could share this newsletter with your creative friends so they can get the inside scoop on the creative industries.
See you next week!
