How to bring concepts to life - Thinking outside the box as a creative
This is why you don't need to follow the crowd. IKEA's latest marketing stunt showed why they are leading innovation in their industry and how you can do this too.
Morning creatives! How are you doing?
Now it’s a few weeks into the new year and I’ve done lots of planning, it’s time to start turning my plans into reality.
How am I going to do that? By taking a leaf out of the IKEA playbook.
As you’ll read, in the news section of this newsletter, IKEA pulled off a captivating marketing stunt that positioned themselves as THE innovator in the space once again.
It got me thinking, as creatives, how can we push the boundaries or put a fun twist on something in our industry?
How can we stand out in a very noisy digital world and make our mark?
With IKEA, it’s by not following the trends and really understanding their customer.
They know their customer may want to shop for high-end furniture but they also know the limitations they may have around money.
So they position themselves as the answer to those problems.
Whilst having a bit of fun too.
I recommend you check out their latest campaign video below.
